About Sant Ravidas

Sant Ravidas, also known as Guru Ravidas, was a revered Indian mystic poet and saint who lived during the 15th century. His teachings and poetry have left a profound impact on the spiritual and social fabric of India. Born in the humble weaver community, Ravidas transcended social barriers and became a beacon of spiritual wisdom and social equality.

Ravidas was born in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, around the year 1450 AD. Despite being born into a family of low social standing, his spiritual insights and devotion to a higher power set him apart. His teachings focused on the idea of oneness and the unity of all beings, irrespective of caste, creed, or social status. This message was revolutionary in a society deeply entrenched in a rigid caste system.
